Adam Mechler

Adam Mechler has obtained his PhD in 2001 at the University of Szeged, Hungary in Physics/Materials Science. In 2001 he won the NATO “Science for Peace” postdoctoral fellowship to work at University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2004 he received a Monash Fellowship (Level B) at Monash University. Since 2009 he has been Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chemistry at La Trobe University. His main research interest is biomolecule self-assembly, with an emphasis on membrane structure, action mechanism of antimicrobial peptides, and peptide fibrillogenezis.
